Download some prayer aid ideas referenced in my blog, here. Starting February 26 the theme will be Roads to Jerusalem where I’ll be exploring the ‘road’ theme more deeply by looking at Jesus’ last days, Dorothy’s travels on the Yellow Brick Road, and the paths some Bible characters, like Naomi, followed to find God. Stop by and join the journey. I think it will be an interesting Lenten adventure. |

Enter the Tabernacle |
Holy Symbolism for your Life |
|||
![]() |
This study offers a look inside the tabernacle built from God’s design as a place of worship in the wilderness and used until Solomon built a temple to the Lord in Jerusalem. By drawing comparisons to church space and worship throughout the ages, you’ll see how the design of the Tabernacle influenced and still impacts our worship spaces. Jesus Christ is our access to God. We are, as Paul says, the tabernacle of the Spirit. By looking at the construction and furnishings of the ancient tabernacle in relation to our personal worship, we find new depth to the relationship with our Lord. While this can be used as an individual or small group study, a more in depth look at the Tabernacle and its symbolism for Christians can be gained during a weekend retreat led by Cynthia. Contact Cynthia here for more information. Back to Top |

| Women of the Bible |
What they Teach us About our Gifts |

Enter into the lives of a few Bible women and see how their journeys inform our faith.Through story, we enter bodily into relationship by experiencing the times, places, and life of the character. In relationship, we are enriched, encouraged, and educated. Their lives can help us see our life in a different way. . Leah, Miriam, Rahab, and Naomi all struggled to find God in the circumstances of their lives. The paradox of God is that we and the women of the Bible find God in the darkest of times. “There is not a moment in which God does not present Himself under the cover of some pain to be endured, of some consolation to be enjoyed, or of some duty to be performed. All that takes place within us, around us, or through us, contains and conceals His divine action” Jean-Pierre Caussade. |

Explore the response of Mary, Joseph, and others intimately impacted by the Nativity to the call of God on their lives. How can their responses inform our own dance of faith? We look at the Gospels and the Letter to the Hebrews. (Preview parts of this study in Cynthia's Advent blog starting November 28.) |
